I don't like the term "authorpreneur," for exactly the reasons you mention, but I'm an author who runs her own publishing company. They're different roles with different headspaces, and I don't want to "pollute" my authoring by conflating it with my publlishing.

IF youre trying to get publicity for yourself then you do have to be in a business marketing mode. Even though you may have the soul of an artist unless you have a lot of money to spend on a publicist you do have to become a marketer sales person to get on podcasts, book signings, tv shows etc. its just reality. The artists I know who cant do this dont do well - arent successful with getting their art out there
